1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and Shortman Electrical, concerning your use of our website and services.

Shortman Electrical provides electrical services for residential and commercial properties, including but not limited to:

All work is carried out in accordance with the latest wiring regulations (BS 7671) and by qualified professionals.

3. Quotes and Estimates

Quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.

Estimates are provided based on our assessment of the work required but may be subject to change once work commences if additional issues are discovered.

We will always consult with you before proceeding with any additional work that would incur extra charges.

4. Payment

Payment terms:

• For smaller jobs, payment is due upon completion of work
• For larger projects, we may require a deposit before work commences
• Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and cash

Late payments may incur additional charges in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

We provide a workmanship guarantee on all our installations and repairs.

Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are passed on to the customer.

Our guarantees do not cover:

• Damage due to misuse or neglect
• Alterations made by others
• Normal wear and tear
• Issues arising from pre-existing electrical installations not installed by us

6. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a scheduled appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover administration costs.

For larger projects, cancellation terms will be specified in your contract.

7. Intellectual Property

The content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Shortman Electrical and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shortman Electrical shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that gives rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
